Maybe a Village
A poetic stage work by RIVA the Faroese Dance Company
2nd-3rd of November at the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands
What was it exactly that pulled two people closer or farther away from one another?
Which revolutionary role can a seemingly mundane moment have?
Which relations were met and which were denied?

Kanska ein bygd (Maybe a Village) is an upcoming full-length work by RIVA that, through the entwinement of dance and literature, deals with how we remember past relations through conversations about people that have died.
The work is an attempt to create an intimate space that questions who we are with and without each other. The driving force behind the work is an interest in human existence on a philosophical level. Through the staging of pedestrian and poetical texts and movements, we are able to shape the fleeting moments and healing touches between humans that represent past relations.
